My name is Shirley Ward, and I teach second grade at Glasgow Christian Academy.  I have taught elementary school for 20 years, seven of them here at GCA.  I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and am retired from Barren County Public Schools.  I am married to Ronald Ward, and we have three children and five grandchildren.  In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, shopping, and spending time with my family.

I love teaching second grade!  My philosophy is to treat my students like I would want my grandchildren to be treated.  I am proud to teach at GCA, where I can study and share God's word with His children.  As it says in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth".
