My name is Amanda Monroe.  This is my fourth year teaching first grade here at GCA.  I have a BS in Elementary Education from WKU and am currently earning a Master's of Special Education on Learning and Behavioral Disorders from Campbellsville University.  I have been married to my husband Lee for six years and we have two daughters:  Emilee is 4 years old and Katelyn is 16 months old.  We live in Cave City.  I attend Highland United Methodist Church where I co-teach the nursery/preschool children. 

I try to make learning fun and get my students involved by having them help, experiment, explore, etc.  I love teaching and I love 'my kids'.  This year is going great so far! We have gotten off to an exciting start and I can not wait to see what God has in store for these students!  It's amazing what He has done already!
