6th Grade
My name is Gayla Jones and I am enjoying teaching 6th grade this year at Glasgow Christian Academy.
I have been blessed to have been involved with GCA for this, my 14th year. I started as a substitute teacher, then a 5th grade teacher, and then a 3rd grade teacher for 11 years. Leaving GCA for three years to live with my family in Tennessee, I am blessed to be back at GCA in the 6th grade class. I have been married to my husband Leon for 35 years now. We have two daughters Christince (2005) and Carissa (2007) who have both graduated from GCA. Christince is now Christince McDuffie, having married Michael McDuffie this past December, and Carissa is a 2011 Lee University graduate.
I enjoy watching as the children learn and grow each and every day we are here. I have found that I learn as much as the children do throughout the year. We are so very blessed to be able to work and learn in an environment where God and His Word are welcome throughout each day.
 
Sixth grade students figured out how to clean up an oil spill using cotton balls, a medicine dropper and dish soap.
