Glasgow Christian Academy Sponsoring Churches

Glasgow Christian Academy is an educational institution committed to academic excellence that is fostered in an atmosphere of Christian conduct and founded upon biblical principles.  To maintain a healthy balance between the scholastic and spiritual emphasis GCA actively seeks the involvement and influence of local congregations through their participation as a sponsoring church.  

Ø     A sponsoring church will host a “GCA Day” where information may be shared via bulletins, pulpit announcements, guest speaker, or a display table featuring the ongoing work at the school.  

Ø     A sponsoring church will have its pastor serve as a representative on the Pastoral Advisory Board. This board meets quarterly for the purpose of prayer, exchange of information, and determining spiritual direction for the school.  From this body will be selected one representative to serve on GCA School Board.  

Ø     A sponsoring church will determine for itself the means of support of the academy whether that is a line item in the budget, a love offering, or concerted prayer. 

Ø     A sponsoring church will be publicly identified as a supporting fellowship via publications and or speaking engagements. 

Without apology GCA seeks to facilitate a solid academic education based on a Christian worldview.  There are doctrinal tenets that provide the faith framework of GCA (see GCA website for complete doctrinal statement).  However, matters of particular doctrinal diversity are differed to parents and the local congregation of which the student is a member.
